Dr. William (Bill) Adams, MD

Dr. William (Bill) Adams had been in private practice in Columbus since 1977 before joining the St. Francis Spine and Neurosurgery Center in 2008. Dr. Adams specializes in orthopaedic spine and neurosurgery.
 
Dr. Adams earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Ala. and completed a residency in neurological surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va., where he also served as assistant professor of Neurological Surgery Department.

Dr. Adams served as St. Francis’ chief of Neurological Surgery from 1986-1998 and was a member of the operating room committee from 1986-1994. He has also served on the executive committee of the Muscogee County Medical Society from 2002-2003, as well as the executive committee of Evergreen HMO & PPO Insurance Co. from 1998-2002. He is a member of numerous medical societies, including the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia Neurological Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
