Free Little League Symposium on January 20

Little League parents, coaches and officials will have the chance to get some great tips to prevent sports injuries at a free Little League Symposium sponsored by the St. Francis Orthopaedic Institute. “Youth Baseball Injuries: Prevention and Understanding” will be the focus of the symposium, which will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12 noon on Saturday, January 20, at the Cunningham Center at Columbus State University.

Orthopaedic shoulder specialist Dr. George McCluskey will discuss “Shoulder and Elbow Injuries” and “New Rules for Pitchers,” among other topics. Other speakers will include Randy Morris, World Series Coach; Greg Appleton, head baseball coach at CSU; Bryce Gaunt, PT, SCS; Joe Kostuch, PT, SCS; and Lance Kelly, MPT, ATC. Time will be set aside for questions and answers, too.
